About the event
This course is designed to build confidence and refine piano skills before taking the ABRSM grade 1 exam.
Students will have the opportunity to perform for each other and play on the acoustic piano in the actual exam room, which will be used in May.
The exam elements will be thoroughly covered:
scales and arpeggios - focusing on playing with an even tone and smooth legato, using correct fingering
three exam pieces - students will perform for each other, followed by a teacher-led discussion
sight reading - students will practice several sight reading exercises
